In 2016, my wife, Lucie and I heard about an organization located in Vaudreuil, Québec that was supporting Haitian orphanages. Having been previously involved with an orphanage in Haiti, this group caught our attention. We did our research, remained interested, and then contacted Christiane Malenfant who we had heard so much about. She right away accepted our invitation to meet and later on, we were invited to attend a board meeting, which we did, and found a group of big hearted, hard working folks who were keenly focused on making the lives of Haitian orphans safer, healthier and happier through love, hard work and fund raising, fund raising, fund raising!! What immediately appealed to Lucie and I was the organization’s in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of Haiti, the government, the history, the past and present issues, the people and the language.

Also we trusted that this organization shows financial transparency and believed that Christiane Malenfant, the president, runs a tight ship. Knowing that she personally brings the funds to Haiti 3 to 4 times per year and supervises the use of the funds on site helped us make a decision.

We jumped right in with Fraternité Haïti des Trois Lacs, and to this day, have appreciated this Foundation more and more.

Lucie and I chose to sponsor three beautiful, loving children. The Foundation provided us with a history of the children, the options available for us to help the children as well as the wherewithal to get hands on experience, at the Orphanage with the children. We spent a week at the Emmanuel Orphanage in Chateau near Jérémie, renovating the buildings, constructing desks and cabinets for the classrooms, playing, dancing and singing with all the children. We received a lifetime of beautiful smiles and great big hugs during this week. The children are absolutely beautiful, welcoming and are so incredibly thankful for everything they receive....and deserve.

Fraternité Haïti des Trois Lacs is incredibly well organized, thoughtful of the children, thoughtful of our donations, and 100 percent focused on the health, safety, education and love that these children need and deserve. Please help us help them.
